In this page, I will be going into disturbingly long detail as to why Latias would be my #1 choice for a Pokémon romantic/sexual partner. If you are uncomfortable with this being on Unagipedia or my user page, feel free to have a chat with my secretary.

First off, Latias is on average just over 4 and a half feet tall and 88 pounds, meaning that she the size of a small adult human, but lighter. Latias is described as having a body covered with feathers, making cuddling with her not only enjoyable, but also warm and fluffy. Latias' body shape is sort of human-like, only missing legs. However, this is made up by the fact that she can fly through levitation. Latias also has access to a vast number of psychic abilities due to her being dragon & psychic type. For example, in pokédex entries, Latias is said to be very sensitive to others' emotions. This makes it highly likely that showing genuine love towards her will result in receiving it back.

In the fifth pokémon movie, Pokémon heroes, Latias is shown to be able to use its magical feathers and psychic abilities to mask herself as other creatures, namely Bianca, a girl from the movie who takes care for Latias. Ash develops a friendly bond with Latias, resulting in a scene near the end of the movie where what appears to be Bianca gives Ash a kiss. However, due to the fact that 1- Latias' location wasn't known at this moment, 2- She wasn't wearing her signature beret that Latias doesn't copy when she disguises as her, and 3- She doesn't speak during the scene, means that while it can't be proven, it's more likely than not that this was Latias using her abilities to disguise herself. If we accept this information, this means that Latias is able to be romantically interested in humans.

Additionally, Latias is one of the few pokémon that pass the Harkness test. Both of the criteria that most other pokémon fail at are "Does it have human intelligence or greater" and "Can it talk/communicate with language". These 2 criteria are both found within Latias, as can be seen in her pokédex description from pokémon sapphire, her game of origin. In it, Latias is described as "Highly intelligent" and "Capable of understanding human speech". The passing of this test combined with the info from the second paragraph of this page shows just how much less morally dubious a relationship with a Latias would be compared to most other pokémon that are commonly simped over.

In conclusion, Latias is one of if not the best pick as a pokémon partner, due to her cute physique, compatible interest and ability to give and understand consent.
