The controller he made for Creamer77's ill fated attempt at progressing the challenge

The C-Left button challenge is a Button Challenge in Super Mario 64. It requires the player to try and get as many stars as they can without using C-Left on the controller, which is used for camera control. Camera control is necessary in order to see where you're going, which makes it nearly impossible, if not entirely impossible, to beat the game. Being able to line up your jumps is a crucial part of the game, and a work in progress plan to collect Big Bob-omb on the Summit was laid out by Creamer77 before he left speedrunning.
